I don't like caffeine in my Root Beer and Barq's has caffeine. Unfortunately, it seems like Barq's is considered to be some sort of upscale version of Mug or something (Mug is better in my opinion).

Wed, September 14, 2005 - 12:18 AMI also think the old A&W, before they added all the extra crap into is was way better than either. I'm sure that one upon a time that Mug was pretty good too.
As for Barq's--its kind of like crack-rootbeer or something. I mean, even the less than pure mass produced soda rootbeer drek I sometimes drink at least has some honesty in the marketplace by not dropping a tab of caffeine in to get children hooked and wired. C'mon--caffeine!?!? That's about hooking people and transitioning them off of better drinks to some sad excuse for a marketing campaign based on an the insertion of an addictive substance. What next? Coke flavored Root Beer?!

Mon, September 19, 2005 - 10:26 PMI like hitting Bev Mo and buying a whole bunch, and then doing them ALL in one afternoon.
Of course, my honey and I enjoy hearing each other burp, it's actually a sign of how relaxed we are around each other. And man we can get some good ones going!
And about caffeine? Like Gallagher said, if you don't get some ch-emicals in you, when you get hold of some accidentally, you gonna DIE! So yeay for caffeine, I can choose to have a pick-me-up in rootbeer form! -
