TOU
Incredibly draconian and perhaps the most censurious of all the online communities'.
Flagging
My best friend posted pics of US soldiers who had died in Iraq, and maimed Iraq civilians. The former were flagged, and removed, no notice given or discussion offered. The horribly maimed Iraq citizens weren't deemed offensive, apparently. I wonder if the staffer who removed the pics looked at the pics to either side of the soldiers, or even read their own TOS?
New format
It sucks. It's just designed to net more views of different ads, not ease of use or fun. Nothing has been changed even though every comment I've read -- and there are a lot -- has been that the Tribe community hates it.
I had hung around hoping that something new would show up to take its place, but can't stand this anymore. Tribe is now administrered by uncaring, unresponsive, beaten-down, passive-aggressive staff and the self-righteous fanatics who have time to flag, flagrantly feeding their egos. There has been no improvement or even a slight halt to its downward slide. This is not something I want to contribute to anymore. My thanks to all the folks I used to talk with…and I hope ya'all will think on whether it's worth it to support Tribe as it is now.

If pictures were flagged by the community, a message was sent to the user. Since those messages are sent under the non de plume of "TOUGuy", they may appear in your "other" mail box.
If you're not seeing them, please send an e-mail to help@tribe.net so we can get that looked into.

No staffer removed any pictures; if they were flagged for removal, then only you will be able to see them. And you can contest the flagging of any and all the pictures. I recommend you do so.

Sat, January 28, 2006 - 9:47 PMI can't remember. But I have been thinking that any "root beer" made with high fructose corn syrup is really just swill with a bow-tie.
